At Trend & Thomas, we believe that being part of a community for over 40 years means giving back, supporting local initiatives, and helping to create opportunities for others. Since our beginnings, community involvement has been rewarding to us — and we’re proud to reflect on the ways we’ve supported causes close to home in Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and Croxley Green over the years.
Our relationship with Rickmansworth Cricket Club dates back to 2009, where we have been proud sponsors for more than a decade. Seeing the club thrive, nurture young talent – particularly the girls’ division, and bring people together season after season has been a true privilege. A sunny Friday seated outside The Golden Duck watching the vast numbers of kids enjoying cricket is a pleasure to behold – the cold beer and prosecco help!
Sport plays a crucial role in building teamwork and confidence among young people, and our sponsorship of the Comets Football Team at Chorleywood Common Youth Football Club for five years has been a proud part of our commitment to youth sports.
Education is obviously worthy of investment and when our children were at primary school stage it was an easy decision to begin supporting Rickmansworth Park JMI School’s fundraising efforts, as far back as 2014. Helping to enhance the school’s resources and opportunities for the littlies was a cause we deeply valued.
In the spirit of family and community, we have also proudly supported the Easter Trail at Woodoaks Farm for several years. This much-loved event has become a wonderful tradition for local families, and we are delighted to help bring joy and connection through it.
Wildlife and environmental conservation are causes that resonate strongly with us. Our sponsorship of the Pumpkins Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre’s Quiz Night over the past few years has helped raise vital funds for the care and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife in our region.
We have also been honoured to contribute prizes for Rickmansworth School’s auctions, helping to support the school’s fundraising efforts for new building initiatives.
Finally, we have supported the MS Charity Day at Moor Park Golf Club for many years by sponsoring a hole. This event raises essential funds for multiple sclerosis charities, and we are proud to stand behind such an important cause.
These contributions are just a few examples of how we strive to make a positive impact in our community. We are grateful for the opportunities to support these wonderful organisations and look forward to continuing our commitment to giving back in the years ahead.
